Sometimes you buy a sequined skirt with no clue where to wear it but immediately vision a few ways on how to style it! I am sharing today two ways to style a sequined skirt dressy or casual!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Did you participate in my parade workout? I had a bit of trouble keeping up with it while cooking. My hubs came down with the flu so we ended up staying home for Thanksgiving. I some how managed to whip up all our favorites dishes last minute (and I am NOT the chef of the house!)
The holiday season has officially kicked for most of us. As much as I love to shop, I’m not one out shopping on Black Friday. I have only done the early morning thing twice in my life. Some years we go out later in the afternoon once the crowds have died down but I do most of my shopping online. I ordered a velvet blazer and pants.. still looking for a pretty cami to wear with them! I’ll probably order some fun nail wraps to take advantage of Jamberry’s Black Friday deals too!
If you saw my last post, I am all about Small Business Saturday! I am hoping to pop over to La Crique Boutique tomorrow morning because who doesn’t want to shop while sipping a mimosa? The last time I was there I picked up this sequined skirt. The skirt has a soft jersey lining but my favorite part is the length. The pencil cut is super flattering too! I am still not totally sure where/when I am wearing it. I am thinking maybe for Christmas Eve and I might even wear it to work one day because why not?! Today I have two looks on how to style this fun skirt; one dressy and one more casual.
For a dressy look I paired the skirt with a boatneck sweater that I purchased from Banana Republic in 2004. (Gosh, does that make this sweater vintage?!) I have tried to get put this sweater in my donate pile so many times but then I find a reason to wear it season after season. I threw on classic black pumps and a silver clutch that actually is vintage. I bought this old beauty off Ebay in 2007 and it is one of my go-to clutches.
For a more casual look I was inspired by La Crique’s Instagram post. A simple chambray button up is the perfect top to dress this sparkly skirt down a notch. I added heeled booties to keep with the casual vibe. A super edgy fringe necklace and simple studs complete this look!
I love both of these outfits, Jen! So chic!!

Great skirt! I have tossed around the idea of getting a sequined skirt, but was unsure of how to style it. Thanks for sharing this…it looks fab with the chambray top!

Thanks Amber! I’ve wanted one for years but as a Mom I don’t do minis anymore bc I’m always bending down to pick up a child. I was sold when I saw the length of this one!
I love the skirt with the chambray shirt! I am with you, sometimes you just have to wear sequins to the office!!!! Maybe you could also wear the skirt with a plain white tee or tank and a motto jacket?
Jamie that is a great suggestion!
Pretty sequined skirt! You can also style it with a fun graphic tee and sneakers for a casual street vibe. xx, M

Oh what a fun suggestion! Love it!
I love the two different looks you paired with the skirt and how you can make it go from dressy to casual so easily! The sequins make it pop so much too! Love it 🙂

Thanks Beatriz. I really do think I’m going to wear this skirt to work. I only have 3 more weeks until I’m not doing the 9 to 5 anymore so why not have some fun? It would totally throw everyone through a loop if I showed up so fancy!!
You truly styled this skirt perfectly in both outfits!

Thanks so much Briana!
A tied up chambray shirt is always a great way to dress down a very upscale bottom, great look!
I totally agree!
Both are cute outfits! Really like it with the denim jacket. http://fash-n-curious.com/
Thanks!
