healthy is trendy!

Heey, winter- you have overstayed your welcome. For real, I would be okay if you never made another apperance for the rest of this calender year. I never thought I’d miss my allergy inducing good friend Spring as much as I do right about now. Hello, are you there spring?  The trees are blooming but we are only receving a tease of beautiful sunny days. We want to throw our booties to the back of the closet and show some skin.

This weekend was a pleasant weekend and we were able to spend most of it outside! Friday we went on a bike ride that ended up with margaritas and fish tacos at our friend’s house who had been in Europe for a few weeks. We spent the impromtu night gabbing about their travels while the kids got caught up on all the playing they missed. Saturday we spent the entire day outside besides my quick trip to Ulta. It was the last day to use the 20% off coupon and I needed to stock up! Grabbed my favorite dry shampoo, hairspray, and picked up some new products for the hubs.

We kicked Sunday off with hosting brunch for our friends- We stuffed our faces with breakfast bowls, fresh fruit & bagel bites before heading down to Cincinnati for a wine festival. We went to 20 Brix 4th Annual Wine Festival. Over 25 wines to try, small bites, live entertainment and kid friendly. Sunday Funday can not get much better than that. We spent the whole afternoon outside enjoying the fresh air, various wines and music.

It was warm enough to wear this super fun open back sweater I ordered from Express in January. Basically this exact same outfit (because I forgot to take an outfit photo) but distressed jeans instead of black denim.  I think open back sweaters are sexy without being in yo-face sexy. I really love those knot back sweaters all the Influencers are wearing, but girls- I’m frugal with my money and a trend like that isn’t worth $80 for me. I think I snagged this sweater for around $12, it may not have a big ol’ knot but it’s sexy and fun! It’s light weight too which makes it great for a 64 and partly sunny spring day!
