There is this amazing sunflower field in Yellow Springs, Ohio. My husband and I have lived in Dayton for almost 8 years and admittedly this was our first time visiting.
The field is gorgeous! However I had no idea what to expect visiting a sunflower field. There are tons of bees! Thankfully the little terrors are drunk on pollen and could care less about us moving through the field. I did not expect the flowers to be so tall or itchy either. My sweet four year old plowed through rows taller than him. Such a trooper!
The problem with tall flowers is it makes it impossible for this novice blogger to take a full outfit shot in the field. I really am not sure what I was thinking? Totally should have Pinterest that idea first. I took a picture of my shoes thinking maybe it would help visualize the look. Probably does not but maybe? Just go with it! The flowers are too pretty not to share so I’m posting anyway.
I wore a gingham button up I purchased years ago from Kohl’s with my favorite jeans ev-er. I am so beyond excited to fit back into my favorite AG jeans since baby girl was born! {happy dance} I pulled on my new obessisson: these olive peep toe booties. Also probably not the best choice to wear heels to march through a sunflower field. All things I am taking note for next year!

My bag is from Heart Mercantile. It’s a fun earthy tone in a faux suede & I am totally loving it for fall!
I feel you on novice blogger photo problems! But these pics turned out so pretty! I love the gingham top against the backdrop of the sunflowers <3
