healthy is trendy!

We had a family fun day at the end of December and today I telling you one reason you should go see the Harlem Globetrotters!

IT’S A BLAST

Yep, that is it. 100% you should go see the Harlem Globetrotters because it is a blast!

While we travel often, my husband and I rarely spend money on any sort of live performance. My nephew is really big into sports and for his birthday we bought him tickets to go see the Harlem Globetrotters. I found a Learn to Read Harlem Globetrotters book on Amazon that we gave with his tickets. After almost six months later it was time to cash his gift in!

Confession: in my house we only really watch the big sporting events- like the Super Bowl or World Cup. We try to be more conscious of putting sporting events on the tv. While my husband and I are not huge into sport teams I think it is important for our children to be exposed to different sports. Long story short, I did not know how my son was going to do at this event.

IT’S A BLAST

Turns out that was not something I needed to worry about because seeing the Harlem Globetrotters was a BLAST! We splurged and bought the floor passes for before the game. That was so much fun. It was a bit crowded; I feel like they could extend the time window or limit how many tickets they sell for that experience. I really wanted to spin a ball on my finger but thought I should be a good mom and let the kids do it instead. I did however get to test out my not-so-mad DJ skills.

Why you should go see the Harlem Globetrotters

If you see the Harlem Globetrotters it is much more than a basketball game. It is full entertainment. Music is playing the whole time. There are what I would best describe as comical skits throughout the quarters. When we do buy tickets again I am totally splurging to get floor seats- it is game on for up close and personal with the team.

After the game they open the floor up to any one to come get meet the players and get autographs. My sister-in-law took the boys to get inline for some signatures while we stood in the tunnel waiting. As the players walked back to their locker rooms they all stopped to high five, dance or take a photo with us!

IT’S A BLAST

If you have not taken your kids to see the Harlem Globetrotters- check out their tour dates and get some tickets! Would make a great family Valentine’s activity or even something to do to beat the winter blues.
