healthy is trendy!

Reports from fashion week are making it clear that red is the color for fall. All shades — from bright red to deep ruby — are in, but monochromatic looks are especially hot! I decided to shop my closet for pieces I already owned to create the current “it” look. I settled on deeper shade of red with a neutral heel to try a trend: monochrome red!

I received my blouse as a gift from a friend a few year’s ago who picked it up at Nordstrom Rack. I love the lace detail on the back shoulders!

My pants are a few years old from Charlotte Russe. For being a $20 pair of pants they have held up amazingly well the last few years. I have them in black too!

Nude Heels + Monochrome Red | Style In Shape

My heels are from Kohl’s, a gift from my mom a few Christmas’ ago. They are no longer available, which is a good thing for everyone  because they are not very comfortable. I need to get a new pair of the classic neutral heel- I’d really love some suggestions! Leave a comment with your recommendations!

I mixed in a little animal print with a skinny belt from Kohl’s (you guessed i!) also purchased a few years ago. If I had this red belt I would have opted for it instead to keep a solid color look.

As luck would have it, it was actually pretty chilly the day I wore this outfit, but that was OK with me because it was the perfect excuse to break out this draped faux leather jacket. This is the only new item that I’m wearing – I ordered it from Nordstrom Rack a few weeks ago and was so excited to finally get to wear it!

    1. Aw that’s great Cindy! It looks so good in bright red too but given my skin tone I stick with the deeper shades of red. I’d love to see your look if you share it!
