#ONREPEAT: Three Pieces for Winter

3 Pieces for Winter | Style in Shape

At the end of October I picked up a couple of items for the upcoming colder weather that I fell in love with- I have worn them so much that they are all #ONREPEAT. Three pieces for winter that I can not stop wearing!

Jennifer Lopez Ribbed Dolman Sweater, org $54

The ruby color of this sweater is what attracted me to it. Admittedly I did not think I would like the cut of this sweater on me but order anyway because of the color. I was so happy when I put it on and saw how it fit. It’s lose but not too baggy or big and snugs in the right spots. The wider neck gives a slight off-the-shoulder feel. In red only size large is left but the orchid haze comes is available in most sizes and is a really pretty color for muted pastel for winter.

LC Lauren Conrad Chives OTK Boots, org $89.99

Already owning a gorgeous merlot hue of OTK boots and a pair of black stiletto ones from Vicki’s circa 2007- I wanted to pick up a pair of OTK boots to wear more on the regular. I wanted them to have a flat/to little heel and I did not want them to lace/tie/drawstring at the back. This style by Lauren Conrad that I found at Kohl’s fit the bill. When I bought them I had a $10 off $50 women’s clothings/shoes, plus a merchandise gift card and a 30% off coupon so I got them for $25! I am wearing these boots in my last post and I can not believe they are all sold out since last week! Target has some great affordable options under $45 like these and these.

Xhilaration-Women’s Longline Lace Bralette, org $12.99

I really wanted to give this bralette trend a try out since the spring but was hesitant on how one would fit. On a whim I picked up a lace one because the strappy back was just too cute. After one wear I was hooked. I love wearing this bralette around the house (like when I’m lounging in my pajamas for way too much of the day) or over a bulky sweater. Love it so much that I bout it in pink too!

Bralette: Xhilaration for Target
OTK Boots: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s; similar on clearance at Target here and here
Earrings: Reclaimed Belle; Etsy

Weell, the Monday after Thanksgiving I resigned from my job- right at the beginning of the department’s busiest time of year. Then you throw Holidays and planning a 1st birthday party on top. Just for fun, mix in said almost one year old not sleeping through […]

Mixing Textures for Winter

Faux leather leggings are a must have in your closet. If you have not tried a pair, I promise they will quickly become one of your most favorite pairs of leggings. Super comfy and stylish! They work with lots of options and are fun for mixing textures for winter! The pair of faux leather leggings I wore for about four seasons needed to be replaced this year. I picked up this pair but sadly they sold out over the weekend since they were marked for under $15! These and these are good alternatives! I paired my leggings with a knit […]

Stylish Comfy Holiday Travel Look

With extended family dispersed around the Midwest, my household usually travels for Thanksgiving. Fortunately for us it is usually only a three to four hour car ride. Nevertheless, I still want to wear a super comfy outfit for our little road trip. With all the cute sweaters in the stores right now it is easy to create a stylish comfy holiday travel look! The sweater I am wearing to create this look is from a previous Victoria’s Secret collection. It is a multi-way sweater that can be worn as a cowl neck, off the shoulder, or one shoulder like I […]

What I wore: St Pat’s Day!

I am super excited that the gorgeous green blouse my husband bought me for Christmas now fits! Over the holidays I instantly fell in love with the rich green hue and pleated back of this blouse. It kinda killed me to watch it sit in my closet but there was no way it was going to look good over the bump! I styled it with cigarette jeans, suede wedged booties and simple jewelry for our St. Patrick’s celebration this year. We met some friends for the kids to play, watch Irish dancing and of course a little green beer. What did you do? […]

Cold Shoulder for Winter Date Night

I truly have a love for the burgundy/merlot/wine family. And today I’m sharing another one of the pieces I picked up in that color. So let me start by saying I am not the biggest fan of cold shoulder tops. Idk why, they just aren’t really me?… However, the moment I put my hands on this cold shoulder knit top, I didn’t care if that style is me or not- I wanted to wear this fabric ASAP. Maybe it’s the winter, or maybe it’s the Mama Bear in me- but if it’s soft and comfy, I have to have it […]

The Blardigan

Hello, meet what the bestie and I refer to as The Blardigan. She has one, I have one- and it’s heaven really. What is it you ask? Pretty much the most soft cardigan ever made. It’s fuzzy, warm, oversized and ombre. It’s almost like wearing a blanket. I even purchased my mom one for Christmas. It’s that amazing. I wore the heck out of this Barefoot Dreams Cardigan from the moment it was gifted to me. I’m talking once or twice a week. It’s the best to wear on a cold day, especially when snuggling a newborn. Or brunching. Or […]

Oversized Sweater FTW

This oversized knitted poncho has been my serious #1 go to sweater this season. Almost anytime someone would come to visit the baby, I’d throw this on. During holiday shopping I grabbed it on sale at Banana Republic Factory for $30. At the time, I was 34+ weeks pregnant and even at an xs, this sweater fit over the bump. Even though it runs large, I saved it for post-baby anyway. I’ve been head over heels with the burgundy/wine/blood red color since fall and I adore the chunky knit. It’s super easy to throw a long sleeve tshirt underneath and pair […]
