Stylish Comfy Holiday Travel Look

With extended family dispersed around the Midwest, my household usually travels for Thanksgiving. Fortunately for us it is usually only a three to four hour car ride. Nevertheless, I still want to wear a super comfy outfit for our little road trip. With all the cute sweaters in the stores right now it is easy to create a stylish comfy holiday travel look!

The sweater I am wearing to create this look is from a previous Victoria’s Secret collection. It is a multi-way sweater that can be worn as a cowl neck, off the shoulder, or one shoulder like I am wearing.  I have rounded up 7 off the shoulder/one shoulder sweaters under $55 for you to create a similar look that fits your style and budget.

Off-Shoulder Sweater with Arched Hem, $33
Chenille Off-the-Shoulder Sweater, $24.90
Collar Off the Shoulder Pullover, $29.99
Off-The-Shoulder Sweater, $53.40
Off-the-shoulder Sweater, $24.99
Off-the-Shoulder Foldover Sweater, $54.95
Striped Foldover Off the Shoulder Sweater, $54.99
Cute bralettes are also making their way into our hearts this season. They are perfect to wear with a one shoulder sweater. And ladies, that means we don’t need to deal those uncomfortable strapless bras. Can I get an Amen?  I picked up this bralette in both black and pink recently, but I also really love this one in burgundy.
Leggings are essentially a requirement for any comfy outfit. I am loving high waist support leggings; which are also perfect after a Thanksgiving feast. Kinda tucks it all in even if after eating way to many helpings of that sweet potato casserole!
Throw on a pair of flat booties which are easy and quick to remove — which can be crucial if you are flying for the holidays or if you are like me and always take your shoes off for long car rides!
Cute off the shoulder sweater + adorable lace bralette + support leggings + flat booties = a perfectly comfy and stylish travel outfit!

5 Pieces for Fall

buffalo-plaid-flannel

Although October is in full effect, you would never know it with this unseasonably warm weather we’ve had in Dayton. However, the cool, crisp fall air has made an appearance this week and given how late it is in the year – it’s probably here to stay. While this probably means a healthy dose of drizzly rain, gusty winds and trees losing those beautiful leaves to accompany those falling temperatures, it’s not all bad. After all, fall fashion is my favorite and I am looking forward to rocking things like the 5 pieces for fall that I am sharing today […]

What I wore: St Pat’s Day!

I am super excited that the gorgeous green blouse my husband bought me for Christmas now fits! Over the holidays I instantly fell in love with the rich green hue and pleated back of this blouse. It kinda killed me to watch it sit in my closet but there was no way it was going to look good over the bump! I styled it with cigarette jeans, suede wedged booties and simple jewelry for our St. Patrick’s celebration this year. We met some friends for the kids to play, watch Irish dancing and of course a little green beer. What did you do? […]

Oversized Sweater FTW

This oversized knitted poncho has been my serious #1 go to sweater this season. Almost anytime someone would come to visit the baby, I’d throw this on. During holiday shopping I grabbed it on sale at Banana Republic Factory for $30. At the time, I was 34+ weeks pregnant and even at an xs, this sweater fit over the bump. Even though it runs large, I saved it for post-baby anyway. I’ve been head over heels with the burgundy/wine/blood red color since fall and I adore the chunky knit. It’s super easy to throw a long sleeve tshirt underneath and pair […]
