healthy is trendy!

I gave a little sneak peak last weekend on Insta-stories and today is the BIG reveal! Girls, I am so excited about this post! I had the pleasure to meet up with two other Dayton bloggers (who also happen to be Style Collective members!) and then we teamed up with some of our favorite local shops for one epic giveaway! We are all about Shop Small Saturday here in Dayton!

Before I dive in about the fabulous local shops let me direct you to the two other bloggers in on this collaboration. Pia from Merlot and Chat is a travel, fashion and lifestyle blogger. She is our regional Style Collective leader and has traveled the world. Her posts definitely have me wander-lusting! Kayla from A Classic Ambition is a biologist at heart with serious love for fashion and beauty. Kayla was featured in the LC Lauren Conrad Festival Collection for Kohl’s this past spring. How awesome is that? She is basically a super star in my eyes! I have really enjoyed getting to know these two babes over the  last few weeks as we worked behind the scenes to bring this giveaway to our readers.

I am over the moon about the local sponsorship we have for this giveaway. My husband and I moved to Dayton from a larger city 9 years ago. A good friend once called Dayton “the big little city” and over the years I can not agree more. There is a huge sense of community in the Greater Dayton Area. Maybe it is the connections I have made but living here I always feel that I am a part of something bigger. I am so excited to share with you the 8 shops who made this giveaway possible! Let’s get started!

Avenue Twenty-One is a super pretty store located in Troy, Ohio. Kayla is featured in their Fall Look Book (see told ya she is a super star!) They sell clothing, jewelry, housewares and paper goods. They even teach calligraphy lessons! This Saturday Avenue Twenty-One is giving away over $1,000 in merchandise plus running amazing sales like 40% off all jewelry and 30% off holiday decor. Doors open at 10am and the first 50 shoppers will receive a free gift!  Avenue Twenty-One graciously donated a rice sheet mask, lavender bath bomb and a blackberry candle. These items would be perfect for a relaxing bath after the shopping marathon most of us do this upcoming weekend.

Luna Gifts and Botanicals is one of my sister-in-law’s favorite stores in the Oregon District. While I personally do not have a green thumb, I do love this little shop. Their Instagram feed is swoon worthy for the plant lover. In my house we always have at least one air plant from Luna; the pineapple holders are my favorite! Besides amazing plants, Luna also sells a curated selection of  gifts such as candles, soaps and of course plant holders. This Saturday the first 25 customers will receive a FREE 2″ plant with purchase. Luna donated one amazingly good smelling candle from Gold Fawn Candle Co and a signature Luna t-shirt that is oh-so-soft.

Madame Delluc (Françoise Imports) is cute chocolatier in Oakwood, Ohio. The chocolates are handmade and imported from Belgian and might possibly be the sweetest store in all of Dayton. Their decadent artisan chocolates make me feel like I am back in Europe. When I popped in the store I picked up their Cacao en Poudre that my husband is going to use for Pots de Crème for a little Thanksgiving dessert. The shop also does private wine and chocolate pairings that would make a perfect date night. Françoise generously donated a delicious box of chocolate assortments for our Shop Small Saturday giveaway.

Heart Mercantile is my favorite store in the Oregon District in Dayton. I could be a little biased because the Boss Babes who run this shop are friends of mine. I could write a post dedicated to just this shop but I’ll keep my gushing to a minimum.  One of my very first posts, I featured a sweater from Heart. My earrings in this spring post are from there as well as the sweatshirt dress in this post and the bag featured here, here, and here (plus a few posts). While they currently do not have anything listed for sale online, keep an eye on their Instagram feed for some awesome items and a little humor. They are happy to hold items for pick up and will even ship if necessary.  This weekend they will have their logo tees for $20 and a veritable ton of items will be on sale. The lovely ladies donated super cute wishbone earrings and one of their signature logo coffee mugs for our giveaway.
