healthy is trendy!

If you are from the Midwest you probably own a plaid shirt (or five). Instead of pairing with your favorite plain boots trying mixing up the patterns with a leopard print shoe! Plaid + Leo is a winning fall combo!

Hey babes! Look- it’s a style post! The first one since April. {covers face} In all fairness I spent 95% of summer in either a bathing suit or workout clothes so really, not much was missed.

Here we are though in October and fall is in full foliage. California has palm trees, Ohio has corn fields. You can’t help but to love a good autumn day in the Midwest. The sun is shining, the fall colors are gorgeous in hue and the temperature feels as perfect as a Ohio girl believes Cali weather feels all year round. We were busy organizing the basement when we realized we were having one of those perfect fall days which caused is to halt at #adulting.

Quickly changed our clothes and headed over for a late afternoon at Apple County Fruit Farm. We picked up apples for a pie while the kids played on the farm’s playground. There was not enough time to for a hayride, hopefully next time!

I threw on a white and black plaid button down with distressed skinnies and since it was that perfect 71 outside I picked the new leopard ballet flats I got at Target last week instead of booties or mules. Plaid with animal print, especially in neutral colors, make a great combination for fall. Winter too!.. and even early spring with a lighter palette. Ok, yep- this is a winning pattern combo!
