Layer Cold Shoulder For Fall

Guess what? About mid-week the temps dropped to feeling like fall here in Dayton! Yes! Break out the sweaters! At least for a day because it’s warming up again this weekend! But first, let me show you a simple way to layer up a cold shoulder top.

When the temps cooled off to below 70 this week I decided to layer up the cold shoulder button up that I was planning to wear to work that day. A knit vest is a perfect layering piece for this! Added warmth of the knit material but still showing off the shoulders a bit.

The vest pictured here is from Banana Republic purchased about seven years ago. (In the shop widget below I’ve linked up some similar styles currently for sale) I love this vest. It is one of those closet staples that I wear year after year.

I kept my outfit basic with black on black but added my favorite fall color by mixing in wine pumps. They are currently on sale, plus save and additional 26% off with code ZZFRI26 making them under $20. Girls, these little pumps are so comfortable. The padded footbed is amazing! Your feet will thank me!

I also want to talk about my slim pants for a second. They are from H&M and they are probably the best work style piece you can find for under $15! H&M usually stocks them in many colors. They are easy to iron, easy to wash and easy on the wallet!

Top: JC Penny (sold out, similar) | Cardigan: Banana Republic (old, similar, less expensive version) | Pants: H&M | Pumps: Payless | Watch: Macy’s
