healthy is trendy!

This dress is so cute you’d never guess I found it on the clearance rack– a perfect find for the last few weeks of winter. Styling a fit and flare sweater dress that is totally appropriate for the office, a lunch date, or happy hour with the co-workers. Keep reading to see how I gave this under $10 dress major style.

Since my last style post was layers + dress + OTK boots I wasn’t sure if I should share back to back.  And even though there has been some snow flurries today, I am hopeful the days to packing away the winter boots is in my near future. Plus this look is so different- a bit more preppy so I am sharing anyway.

I found this A New Day Fit sweater dress on a Target clearance rack for about $8 in February. I had hopes to do a Valentine’s look or maybe even wear it on Valentine’s Day but that fell through. Pretty certain I never changed out of red VS Knockout tights that day.

I really like the cut of the fit and flare dress. The material is a good thickness for warmth but not add bulk. Seeing it on the model, I agree with the reviewers that it is more short than pictured. Which is okay with me because I wanted to wear OTK boots and this top with this dress. While in store I thought about layering it with this ancient dress shirt bodysuit from (back when Vicki’s sold clothes) and my black OTK LC Lauren Conrad boots. If I was still employed this outfit I would wear to the office. Now a-days it’s an outfit I would wear to meet my husband for lunch or meet him for a happy hour with his co-workers. It is a perfect balance of professional and trendy!
