healthy is trendy!

Introducing a new series to Style In Shape where I will share my recent purchased items before they are styled. I know my fellow fashionistas will love all the good sales in Fashion Finds: Recent Buys!

I am a bargain shopper to the bone. I rarely ever pay full price for anything- mostly because I know that most items eventually go on sale. And unless I am shopping for an event, I usually hoard new items- ration out wearing something from the new pile. It’s like my Hail Mary for the days that I’m all  “I have nothing in my closet to wear”.

I realized though that prevents a little bit of a problem for you, my readers, when I share my outfits and the items  are no longer available because I snagged it on mega clearance weeks before my style post. Since I’m just a bity blog, I do not have the audience for the beloved “swipe up” feature on Insta Stories for an easy share. I thought though to do a post on a semi-regular bases of my recent purchases could be a great way to give you an opportunity to snag one of my finds. For your shopping entertainment I present Fashion Finds: Recent Buys Vol 1.

I love LOFT, who doesn’t? We only have one LOFT store in all of greater Dayton so anytime I shop there it’s online when there is free shipping deal like they had a few weeks ago when I picked up the items I’m sharing today. Luckily, LOFT is having 40% off everything with code NEWNOW and free shipping on purchases over $50 today! Yas!!

First up in their current spring line I ordered this black and white stripe bell sleeve blouse.  This June I will be accompanying my husband on a work conference in Germany and I’m already brainstorming outfits to pack. I know this top will be perfect with black pants and heels for one of the dinners we will attend. I love how dramatic the bells are on this top. It’s flowy and TTS for Loft blouses.

Next up is this tie back spacedye bell sleeve top. It is 60% off today (final sale) making it under $10. I wore this for Friday Night Sushi with friends two weeks ago- I love how the fit and the feel of this top. I packed it last weekend when we went up to visit my in-laws in case we had a Sunday Funday (because let’s be real, I wear comfort for that long car ride home).

The last top I ordered from LOFT is a black cold shouder tee. I didn’t expect it to have a cute button detail on the back of the neck. This top is also final sale, available in all sizes and with 60% off it’s under $6.50. I am excited to wear this updated basic tee once it’s a little warmer out.

When ordering I orginally put the above tee in the cart to wear with these satin cargo pants. Another outfit I thought would be a good fit for Europe. I bought them in size 0 petite; I typically do not purchase petite sizes but I really wanted these. I will say I think they run a little big big. If they had them in regular I would have purchased size 00.

And lastly in my recent LOFT haul I ordered these burgundy cateye sunnies because they were on sale for under $10 and I can always use sunglasses.. during the summer I’m always losing or breaking sunglasses so it’s essential for me stash cute pairs when I find them on sale.

I was able to do a little bit of shopping with one of my best girls while up in Michigan last weekend –I picked up some super great finds at Marshall’s. Apparently I’m on a bell sleeve obessession because I picked up another one while shopping. I love this Marled by Reunited mixed media tee! The solid part is jersey and the stripes are poplin. The sleeves are bell but make this cute V at the wrists. Also, let’s talk about this cute hem! It’s like peplum meets tulip. I could not find the exact one anywhere online but I did find a very similar version at TJMaxx.com. I also see this coming to Germany to be paired with white denim for lunching with the ladies!

Admittaly, I have not always been a fan of knot tops but Shannon at Itsy Bitsy Indulgences is always pairing one with workout tights and it totally changed my mind on this style of top. I was super pumped to find one under $15 last weekend. Already worn this week with a favorite pair of Athleta tights.

I have never been a sneaker girl but in the last year I have bought a few pairs that were not for the gym. For me it’s kinda a big deal because jeans and tennis is not my style. Recently on my shoppng lush list has been a pair of blush sneakers. I spotted a pair of New Balance Arishi in light pink as soon as I walked into Marshall’s last weekend- then did a happy dance because they had my size and  priced at $39.99! So cute, comfy and that color has me all hopping on board with Millenial Pink.

I also just ordered this floral crop top and matching bottoms from Target (Buy One Get One half off through Saturday!)- intially I am thinking this could be an Easter Sunday option. I like to coordiante our holiday outfits so it will depend on what I find for the little lady. I am thinking these blush blocked heels could be super cute with the duo and maybe a white blazer incase it’s chilly. Or maybe a long blush cardigan. I’m not really sure yet!

I rounded up some more tops under $20 that I saw at TJMaxx.com while linking what I picked up last weekend. So.Many. Cute. Tops. I particularly love this high low ruffled blouse and this gigham ruffle sleeve top.

I hope you enjoy this series as it unfolds. I love to shop sales and the clearance racks. I’m looking forward to sharing some of those steals and deals with you more regularly! Or if you want to ask about 10,000 of your closest friends to follow me on Instagram so I can upgrade to the “Swipe Up” feature- that would be cool too. 😉 Jk.

  1. Those New Balance shoes are MONEY! That looks like it very well may become my next running shoe, tbh. Desperately need a new pair but I’m being so picky about how it looks. Have you worked out in them yet? How do they hold up at the gym, on a run, etc? I’m here for them!

    1. So far I’ve only ran errands in them. My best friend has them and says they are super comf for runs!
