healthy is trendy!

Here in Southwest Ohio, we have a few more weeks of skin showing shoes. There is no more perfect time than early fall to bust out the (faux) suede shoes, peep toes and open backs!  Keep reading to see my current shoe choices!

I’m still wearing these perforated mules purchased from Target this past Spring. They are currently trending and at under $35- a shoe you want in your collection! They look so great with jeans and just about anything from a favorite sweater to a casual t-shirt.

Next up is a pair if sling back booties I purchased on clearance last October. I wore these all last fall when I was pregnant.  I love to pair them with anything I’m wearing with my jeans or when I’m wearing a jersey midi dress. Best part is they are comfortable! These and these are similar options, and this pair under $45!

Busy gals need a solid pair of flats for every season and I’m totally loving these nude peep toe faux suede ones I picked up at Old Navy. I could not believe that they were marked on clearance at my local store for $2.97 when they are not anywhere near that price online! I always size up a half size on my flats and this one the only pair left in my size in the store. There was no way they were not coming home with me. I love that I can wear these with dress pants and jeans making them very versatile for work and play!

I’m most excited about these peep toe booties I ordered from Kohls. I love the side slit and block heel but I mostly love the colors (tan, olive, black). It was a hard decision to make but I went with the olive shade. I thought they would be a fun way to mix up neutrals this season!

Since there isn’t snow on the ground (yet)- I’m going to push wearing strappy sandals for as long as I can. I took these low block heel sandals with me to Miami Beach last month. I was nervous about ruining them while walking SoBe in the rain and was really glad to see how well they held up. I even wore them for the 4 mile bike ride we took along the Miami Beach Boardwalk. If you need a basic heel, make it these!

You will see these shoes featured in the outfit posts for September to give you some other ideas on how to style. Pretty soon the weather will drop for good and I’ll be all about the boots and booties so I’m hanging on to pedicure season while it’s still here!

  1. I am jealous! You must have a much warmer beginning of fall than I. Love the shoes though, but opened toed is not an option unless I rock my wool docks underneath 😉lol
